1. Think back to the beginning of internship. What were your goals? Did you achieve these goals? If so, what did you have to do consistently the goals?
My goal is to be a good TA and be patient assiste the kids, I'm glad I make it, most kids are listen to me and respect me.
2. What are the most important ideas or skills you've learned in the last 10 weeks?
I learned how to organized the materials and papers. Also communication skill made easier for me to have a great conversation with kids.
3. What has having a relationship with professional employee such as your supervisor/mentor meant to your personal development? How have you have grown as a student and/or young adult in this relatively new country?
Normally I spend time with people my own age who act a certain way. We goof around, have fun, and just play a lot. But now that I've worked with an adult for ten weeks and developed a relationship with Ms. Sharpnake. I gain so much experience and skill since I work with her, and it will help me in the future when I go to the society.
4. What were the highlights (memorable moments) of your internship experience?
My most memorable moments was last day of internship, my metor told the students wrote the thank you letter for me, it was so impressive.
5. What are your thoughts about jobs, careers, or the professional world in general as a result of having spent 125 hours working in it?
As I spent 125 hours woking in professional world. I saw everybody work so hard, They spent most of the time on their job and contribute to the community. It makes me want to work like them, making the world more beautiful.
6. After high school, what do you want to pursue for a career? Are you more or less interested in college as a result of your internship?
Now, I am more interested in going to college. Through this internship, I know how teacher work so hard with students, they got different teaching method to keep class clam down.
7. What were your biggest challenges to overcome and how you handle those challenges?
My biggest challenge overcome was speak with mentor, I don't why every time when I looking at her eyes, I can not speak with her. Also when she give me the direction, I alway confuse and I don't know how to response, after that I choose to talk with her if I don't know the direction and make sure is clears.
8. If you were to start a brand new internship next week, what are the least two things you would do differently?
If I were be TA again, I will try to remember the students name at the first day. Also have conversation with my mentor to know each other better.
9. Think of two to three pieces of advice you could offer a new intern at your site.
I would advice new intern to be patient with kids, not to do everything they want because they will start to asking you everything. Also sometime you have to be strict, they will not able to listen to you if your to nice with them.
10. What will you miss about your internship?
I will miss my metro and supervisor, also my favorite students, they were so cute and very patient to me.
